### Booking and Confirmation

1. A provisional booking will be held for 14 days.  
2. Your booking is confirmed only when Parteen a Lax receives a signed Booking Form and the required non‑refundable deposit.  
3. The deposit amount and balance payment schedule will be detailed on your Booking Form. Final payment is due no later than 14 days before the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.

### Capacity, Exclusive Use and Timings

1. Parteen a Lax accommodates weddings and celebrations for up to **30 guests**.  
2. Only one wedding is held on any given day; exclusive use of the venue applies for the duration confirmed on the Booking Form.  
3. Confirmed event start and finish times must be observed. Overtime may be permitted at the venue’s discretion and will incur an additional charge.

### Final Numbers, Menu Choices and Tastings

1. Final guest numbers and all menu choices must be confirmed in writing no later than 14 days prior to the event. This final number is the minimum number charged for.  
2. Any dietary requirements must be notified before the final menu confirmation. Parteen a Lax will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special diets if notified in time.

### Payments, Prices and VAT

1. All prices quoted are subject to change until the booking is confirmed by deposit. Confirmed bookings are subject to the prices on the Booking Form.  
2. All prices are stated inclusive of Irish VAT at the prevailing rate; should the VAT rate change, Parteen a Lax reserves the right to adjust prices accordingly.  
3. Any additional services requested on the wedding day will be invoiced and payable on departure or within 7 days of the event.

### Cancellation and Postponement

1. The deposit is non‑refundable.  
2. Cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel, amounts already paid may be retained as set out in the Booking Form.  
3. If you postpone or seek to reschedule the date, Parteen a Lax will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a new date. Any transfer of deposit is subject to venue availability and possible adjustment for seasonal price changes.  
4. If the venue must cancel for reasons outside the client’s control, Parteen a Lax will offer alternative dates or refund monies paid; Parteen a Lax will not be liable for any indirect losses.

### Force Majeure

1. Parteen a Lax will not be liable for failure to perform obligations resulting from events beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, government action, pandemics, severe weather, fire, flood, strikes, or civil unrest.  
2. Parties will cooperate reasonably to rebook or agree an alternative solution if a force majeure event affects the wedding.

### Suppliers, Contractors and Outside Goods

1. All external suppliers must be approved in advance by Parteen a Lax. Contact details and proof of insurance for external contractors must be provided where requested.  
2. No outside food, drink or alcohol may be brought onto the premises except the wedding cake. Corkage may be allowed only with prior written agreement and a corkage charge.  
3. Parteen a Lax accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of supplier equipment or personal items brought onto the premises.

### Damage, Decorations and Clean Up

1. The client is responsible and liable for any damage to Parteen a Lax property caused by guests or suppliers. Parteen a Lax reserves the right to charge for repair or replacement.  
2. All decorations must be agreed in advance and must not damage painted surfaces, furniture or flooring. No confetti (real petals) or other materials likely to cause damage or excessive cleaning may be used without prior approval.  
3. All decorations, flowers and personal items must be removed by the end of the agreed departure time unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

### Behaviour and Right to Refuse Service

1. Parteen a Lax reserves the right to refuse entry or to remove any guest whose behaviour is, in the venue’s reasonable opinion, likely to endanger people or property or to bring the venue into disrepute. No refund will be made in such circumstances.

### Insurance and Liability

1. The venue holds public liability insurance. The client is strongly advised to obtain event insurance covering cancellation, supplier failure and public liability for the event.  
2. Parteen a Lax’s liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the booking will be limited to the total amount paid by the client for the booking. Parteen a Lax will not be liable for indirect, consequential or special losses.

### Photography, Filming and Privacy

1. Parteen a Lax may take photographs for promotional use unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to the event.  
2. Parteen a Lax will process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and will only use information supplied for the purposes of administering the booking and providing services.

### Health, Safety and Licensing

1. All events must comply with health and safety requirements and the venue’s reasonable instructions. Emergency exits and access must be kept clear at all times.  
2. Parteen a Lax holds the necessary licences for the sale and service of alcohol and entertainment; all such licences must be respected. The venue may refuse to serve alcohol to any person who appears intoxicated and may require ID for proof of age.

### Amendments

1. Any requested changes to the booking must be made in writing and are subject to agreement, availability and any additional charges.  
2. Parteen a Lax reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time; the version applicable to your booking will be the version provided with your Booking Form.

### Acceptance

By paying the required deposit and returning a signed Booking Form you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all persons named on the Booking Form.
